This is a shot from Point Lookout, which is about as far downstream as you can go on the north rim trail. Point Lookout is pretty much directly across from the lower lookout point on the gorge trail. Just downstream from the lower lookout, a long stone staircase ascend to the south rim trail. These are the stairs shown here. Here is another shot from Point Lookout, directly across the gorge.
