Upper Taughannock Falls | ||
The north rim trail goes on for quite a bit without a view of anything but the woods you're in. But eventually it crosses the creek on an old footbridge and you're high above the upper falls and gorge. Unfortunately for easy photo-taking, the bridge is directly above these upper falls and all you can do is look straight down into them. As far as I know, there's no more distant view of these falls. Because they are partially blocked by the footbridge and fully blocked by trees on the rim trails. And the upper gorge itself is wholly inaccessible, at least not legally. Anyway, here is a vertical photo to take in the whole Upper Falls. Clicking on the photo will bring up a 576x768 image instead of the usual 1024x768. A 1024x768 image IS available, however, for viewing in larger screen resolutions. Click here for that larger image. |
