| On the upriver side of Windsor Locks, there are a couple old locks from the Connecticut River to the old barge canal that runs through the center of town. One of the locks is totally broken with sides caving in. The other, though newer, is also long out of service. The boy in the picture is sitting on a ledge down inside these newer locks dangling a stick in the water, or maybe probing it. No one else is around. |
